Delete your account

You can permanently delete your UrbanLeaf account and every piece of data tied to it. There are two ways: from inside the app (fastest) or by emailing us.
Option 1 — Delete from the app
- Open UrbanLeaf on your device.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the App section.
- Tap Delete account below "Sign out".
- Confirm the prompt. Deletion is immediate.
The app will show "Account deleted" and continue as a brand-new anonymous user. You can uninstall after that.
Option 2 — Email us
If you no longer have access to the app, write to hello@urbanleaf.app from the Google address you used to sign in. Please include:
- The Google email tied to your UrbanLeaf account
- The subject line "Delete my UrbanLeaf account"
We complete email-based deletions within 30 days, usually within 72 hours.
What gets deleted
- Your account (your anonymous user id and any linked Google identity)
- Every plant you've added and all per-plant settings
- All photos and observations you've uploaded
- Achievements, streak, daily progress, push token, and language preference
- Active subscription record (an active paid subscription is also cancelled in Google Play)
What is retained, and why
- Anonymous analytics events (e.g. "user marked Done") with no link back to your user id — retained for product analytics.
- Anonymous crash reports from Sentry — retained for bug fixing.
- Purchase records required for tax and Google Play reconciliation (typically retained for 7 years as required by Indian GST law).
None of the retained data contains your email, name, photos, plants, location, or any personal identifier.
